I often get asked which dictionaries are useful to help with improving your Academic English. A good dictionary should not only include a definition, but also include advice on the following:
- pronunciation/stress
- common collocations
- example sentences
- common synonyms / antonyms
You can obviously use the dictionaries which are linked on the right of the page, but unfortunately they often don't include all of the information in the purchased version. Remember you can download or purchase the paper copy, but I would recommend the following dictionaries:

ReplyDeleteThanks you for your comment. I think all of them are good, but would strongly recommend that you go to a library/bookstore to glance through them to see which one YOU prefer. Try to get an advanced learner/English langauge learner one if possible.
